'The Perfect Couple' by Ian Stuart Black

As Fulvia returns to Earth in the Nemesis, the ship is struck by lightning and disabled. Stranded, Fulvia realises that she must adapt to her new situation, and manages to convince Adam that they attempt to settle down in a suburban household as a couple. However, when Fulvia comes home after a hard day’s work and learns that her partner has been in the middle of a tea-party with the neighbouring housewives, she immediately flies into a jealous rage. Meanwhile, a group of women's libbers decides to steal two of Fulvia's weapons to help further their cause - but then things go badly wrong and a shootout ensues…
